1. GHB
Current average interest rate for the first three years is 3.62% per year, after which it floats throughout the contract at 6.4% per year.
2. UOB
Current average interest rate for the first three years is 4.5% per year, after which it floats in the fourth year. Customers can request a fixed interest rate reduction, similar to being a new customer, for another three years (with one reduction every three years). For example, the rate is 4.5%, the same as for new customers in years 4-6. This is not available at other banks (this is a retention program exclusive to UOB). Therefore, maintain a good payment history and pay on time to receive very low interest rates, much lower than other banks. (Pay up to 60% less interest.)
Cash to Home Loan
1. GHB
The Government Housing Bank (GHB) does not have a cash-to-home loan policy for Thais living abroad. If you want a loan for home renovation or renovations, you must have a house plan and an existing loan extension application. The required documentation must be sufficiently detailed.
2. UOB
UOB accepts collateral for houses, condominiums, townhouses, and commercial buildings that are unencumbered in Thailand. This allows Thais living abroad to use the money for various purposes or as capital. The interest rate is 5.5% fixed for the first three years, then floating (currently 7.02% per year).
Note: UOB home loans do not require a work permit or visa. The only documents required are payslips, six months of payroll, and one year's tax return.
